Dr. Williams, a native to the Southwest Georgia community, earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia and his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta where he was President of his Senior Class. He joined the United States Navy in 1966, serving at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia. He received training in orthopaedic surgery while in the U.S. Navy as well as the University of Louisville Affiliated Hospitals in Louisville, Kentucky. He returned to Southwest Georgia and completed his service at the Naval Dispensary in Albany, Georgia. He co-founded Orthopaedic Associates in 1974.
Dr. Williams is a general orthopaedic surgeon with particular interest in hand, knee and hip disorders including joint replacement. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of multiple medical societies and organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Williams is married and has four children. He enjoys hunting, spending time working on his horse farm and following his Georgia Bulldogs.
