A native of the golden state, Dr. Wolgin graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and attended medical school at the UCLA School of Medicine. Upon graduation in 1986, he began his orthopaedic surgery residency program at the Harbor/UCLA Medical Center which he completed in 1992.
Subsequently he completed two prestigious fellowships; one for spinal surgery at the Institute for Spinal Disorders, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, as well as a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
Dr. Wolgin is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with training in a variety of surgical procedures including minimally invasive techniques that significantly reduce tissue damage during surgery. His approach to treating patients with spinal dysfunction includes a comprehensive evaluation of their problem and clear explanation of their diagnosis with a goal of educating the patient on all aspects of their condition as well as expected outcomes of their various treatment options.
Trading the west coast for the south, Dr. Wolgin joined Orthopaedic Associates in June 2006. When he is not practicing medicine, he enjoys basketball, skiing, reading, exercising and music including playing the drums.
