Mark Wolgin, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery and spinal dysfunction treatments. Since 2006, he has served patients in the Albany, Georgia, area at Orthopaedic Associates.

A California native, Dr. Wolgin launched his medical career at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a bachelor’s degree followed by his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1986. Six years later, Dr. Wolgin finished an orthopaedic surgery residency program at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.

Throughout his more than 30-year career as a doctor, Dr. Wolgin has completed two important fellowship programs: one for spinal surgery at the Institute for Spinal Disorders, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, in Los Angeles and a second in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Wolgin is passionate about diagnosing orthopaedic problems and designing comprehensive treatment plans for his patients. He has training in a number of orthopaedic procedures, including minimally invasive surgical techniques that reduce tissue damage.

Dr. Wolgin prides himself not only on treating spinal dysfunction patients, but also on educating them about all aspects of their condition, diagnosis, and treatment plan, ensuring that they feel cared for and heard.

When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Wolgin enjoys sports, especially playing basketball and skiing. He also plays the drums and loves to read.
